Events & Marketing Coordinator - New York, NY

This unique position is a full-time Events & Marketing Coordinator who has highly developed planning, communication and project management skills. 

As the Events & Marketing Coordinator, you will participate in all aspects of planning Collective’s internal events, such as national and local sales summits, client-entertainment events, and educational panels. The right individual will not only bring event planning experience, but knowledge of online advertising and interactive marketing. This role primarily supports the Director of Events & Sponsorships, but will also work closely with the rest of the Marketing team and Collective’s Sales Teams. This individual is expected to be familiar with Collective’s product offerings and strategic initiatives.

 
Reports To:
Director of Events & Sponsorships - Marketing

Key Responsibilities:
·         Assist Director of Events & Sponsorships in planning and execution of special events: duties include venue selection, choosing effective collateral, creating invites, tracking responses, managing costs, overseeing general logistics
·         Research new sponsorships & brainstorm unique event opportunities that would benefit our sales teams
·         Attend weekly sales meetings and provide feedback on events
·         Effectively liaise with vendors to communicate the information necessary to successfully execute our event and brand advertising needs while maintaining good client relationships
·         Inventory, manage and fulfill sales team requests for collateral and promotional materials
·         Update website using web content management system 
·         Manage other miscellaneous projects and events for the Director of Events & Sponsorships
·         Understand Collective’s products and market positioning

Preferred Skills/Experience:
·         1-3 years experience in marketing, events coordination or related field - preferably within online advertising
·         Candidate should demonstrate a long-term interest in and commitment to online advertising and/or events planning/management
·         Possess superior communication, listening and interpersonal skills 
·         Have the ability to work independently and be a team player, while keeping a positive attitude
·         Strong computer skills, including web-based research, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Adobe suite and/or other design applications
·         Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
·         Ability to build rapport with sales team and other professional staff
·         Flexibility to travel and work after office hours when necessary
·         Bachelors Degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, or a related field
·         Experience with media buying/planning, SEO/SEM, and/or HTML/CSS a plus
